EKG
An EKG or electrocardiogram is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. With each heartbeat an electrical impulse or wave travels through the heart. Electrodes are placed on the chest to record these heart signals.
Spirometry
Spirometry is the most common type of breathing or pulmonary function test. This test measures how much air you can breathe in and out of your lungs and is helpful in identifying breathing conditions such as asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and cystic fibrosis.
Telehealth
Telehealth is a service that utilizes video calling from home to interact with providers at our medical facility. Telehealth may be particularly helpful for older adults with limited mobility, those living in rural areas traveling long distances, patients who may develop a problem while out of town, and those with a contagious infectious disease such as COVID-19.
Minor Surgery and Procedures
We offer and perform many procedures including wart freezing, earwax removal, abscess drainage, cyst removal, skin tag removal, foreign body removal, joint injections, trigger point injections, minor wound care, wound suturing, wound cultures, staple and suture removal, skin biopsies and skin lesion removal.
In Office Testing
We provide in office testing for several different medical conditions. This includes hemoglobin A1c's for monitoring diabetic control, INR testing for patients on Coumadin or warfarin, urinalyses for urinary tract infections, spirometry for lung disorders, EKGs, and rapid testing for conditions like strep throat, influenza, and COVID-19.
Immunizations
Immunizations help protect us from serious diseases. They also help prevent the spread of these diseases to others. We offer many immunizations including influenza and pneumonia.
Inpatient Services
Our office offers both inpatient and outpatient care to our patients. This is valuable in helping to promote continuity of care between visits.
Annual Wellness Visit
The Medicare annual wellness visit is a yearly appointment for Medicare beneficiaries with a member of their health care team to evaluate wellness and create an individualized prevention plan. While the visit is not a head to toe physical, it is extremely beneficial in identifying potential risks and determining how to support continued health and wellbeing.
Remote Patient Monitoring
Remote patient monitoring is a digital health solution that captures physiologic data in the home environment and transmits it to our office. This allows our healthcare team to remotely monitor many medical conditions including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, COPD, asthma, obesity, and infectious processes like COVID-19.
Chronic Care Management
Chronic care management is a service provided to Medicare beneficiaries who have 2 or more chronic medical conditions. A comprehensive care plan is developed and dedicated monthly access and support is provided to manage these conditions with the goal of promoting better health and reducing overall healthcare costs.
Lab Station
As a service to our patients, we have an independent onsite laboratory draw station.
Medical Cannabis
Medical cannabis is a state approved treatment option for certain medically qualified conditions. Dr. Wayt is certified to prescribe medical cannabis.
